What the score measures
The score out of 100 is the same as the AI search score in our free full website audit. It adds up six checks:

- 20Readable text in the HTMLAt least 150 words in the page itself. Most AI crawlers don't run JavaScript, so text loaded by scripts is invisible to them.
- 15Business details in structured dataOrganization or LocalBusiness schema that states your name, location and services.
- 15Answers written as questionsAn FAQ section or question-style headings, the format assistants like to quote.
- 10Contact details on the pageA phone or email link, so assistants can tell people how to reach you.
- 10llms.txt fileAn optional plain-text summary of the site for AI tools. Few assistants read it yet, so it counts for little.
It also shows, for each assistant, whether robots.txt lets its crawler in, and whether the site has a sitemap.

How do AI assistants like ChatGPT find businesses?
When someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude or Google for a recommendation, the assistant searches the web, reads a handful of pages and summarizes them. Each one reads pages with its own crawler: OAI-SearchBot for ChatGPT search, Claude-SearchBot for Claude, PerplexityBot for Perplexity, Googlebot for Google's AI Overviews and Bingbot for Microsoft Copilot. If your site blocks those crawlers or only shows its text after JavaScript runs, the assistant can't read it.
How do I let ChatGPT see my website?
Make sure your robots.txt file doesn't block OAI-SearchBot, put your key information (who you are, what you do, where, and how to reach you) in the page's HTML rather than loading it with JavaScript, and add Organization or LocalBusiness structured data. This checker shows which of those your site already does.
Does blocking GPTBot hide my business from ChatGPT?
Not from ChatGPT search, which uses OAI-SearchBot. GPTBot collects data for training OpenAI's models. The score still counts a blocked GPTBot, because training data is part of what assistants know about your business when they answer without searching.
Does Google-Extended affect Google's AI Overviews?
No. AI Overviews use the normal Googlebot. Google-Extended only controls whether your content is used for Gemini apps and Google's AI model training.
Will a high score make ChatGPT recommend my business?
It makes it possible, not certain. A high score means assistants can read and understand your site. Whether they recommend you also depends on what other sites, reviews and directories say about your business.
